Friday Afternoon, October 31st - MTA Gym

 Hi all

I didn't know what to expect for our time today since it is Hallowe'en but the numbers did not disappoint with four courts busy most of the afternoon with a couple on the bench in the ready to rotate in. Our system works quite well so that players have the opportunity to play with and against the many great players we have. It was great to see so many of our regulars but some were missing, possibly preparing for some Trick or Treaters tonight! and talking about Trick or Treaters, we had a number of pickleballers wearing orange to get into the spirit??

I started the afternoon with Catherine versus Kirk and Eudora, and although there were some long rallies and stellar play by all, we were able to come out with a victory 11-8!

The last couple of games saw Bruno and myself battling Richard and Saeed to a tie at one game a piece... We will have to play the rubber the next time out???

When I left shortly after 3:00 Jill and Melissa (donning protective glasses) were playing Kelly and Rahil. Safety first everyone!

The outdoor courts are available for play tomorrow morning, although I am not available and it is not posted on the Playtime Scheduler, so next play will be on Monday evening at the Salem gym and on Tuesday morning at the MTA Gym...
