Hi all
We started of with three courts busy at 6:00 which quickly turned into all four courts busy, and with about six extras we laid out rackets to help with rotation of players. But before we really got started there was a regular pickleballer who recently celebrated a milestone birthday, so in the usual group's style... Happy Birthday was sung to our friend Tim Hicks! Four Mount A students, Tristan, Cole, Harris and Colton arrived playing on one of the courts, so we welcomed them to our group and encouraged them to join in with the normal rotation, so they could get to play new and we could interact with them too. This worked out very well, with one of the students, Harris having worked the summer at a pickleball court. In one of the later games saw Harris and I partner up versus Saeed and Fred, just falling short in a tight game. We also welcomed Zuhair and Mohammed into the rotation. I have seen them there before, but have yet to really get to know them and their game, but they look hooked...
At the end of the night, the Mount A students again wishing to play amongst themselves took over one of the courts...at a time when many were leaving anyway.
The only ones left, playing in the dark were Saeed and myself versus Fred and Betty Jo. It was Betty Jo who kept the game close, but ultimately fell short this time.
The Pickleball group was well represented again today at the Sackville Food Bank's "Second Chances Thrift Store" with John and I driving to pick up some household product in boxes, then staying to help set up more shelving...while Agnes was busy helping organize product and more on these shelves, pictured here with longtime Food Bank volunteer Jake!

Regular scheduled play is tomorrow, Tuesday morning at 9:00 and then again at 6:00 on Wednesday...
Pickle On!
