Pickleball - Outdoor Courts - Sat., May. 2, 2026

Outdoor pickleball officially started today, though I hear the nets had been up for 3 or 4 days and some people had already gotten some enjoyment in playing outside. Good for you. I am a strong believer that pickleball is more fun outside on dedicated courts, sunshine and even a little breeze for variety and an extra challenge.

We had 14 people participate at in this first group day out and hopefully we will have many more before summer sets in.

The courts looked good and seem to have no side effects from the long winter. The dirt that was there remains and a cleaning has been asked for from the town with not estimated time for doing it yet. The committee is working closely with the town on this. The wind screens are promised to be installed soon.

As you SHOULD know, playtime scheduler is THE place to book time for the outdoor courts. It is the considerate thing to do and helps you find other people to play with. It also helps those from far away to know when the courts are used, so they don't travel to find the courts utilized by others.
