Pickleball - Outdoor Courts - Sat., May. 9, 2026

Our second outdoor Saturday happened today. It was lightly attended but great play was had the 10 players in attendance.

The wind screens are not up yet but there is a committment from the town to have them up before this weekend. The courts are in great shape and are really pretty clean. The areas pressure washed last May look particular colorful and there are some areas (where water stays) that are a bit brownish but still fine. The town is looking at doing some cleaning but the courts are currently very good shape.

I, for one, prefer the outdoor experience. I think the natural lighting, tacky surface and clear lines make for a higher level of play and a more enjoyable experience. The wind is a challenge but it makes a variety to play that forces us to enhance our touch, developing us into be players!
