Saturday morning, August 16th - Outdoor Courts

Hi all

It was another beautiful morning for pickleball with three courts busy starting shortly after 9:00 with music by the Market performers adding to the atmosphere!

It was great to see Terry and Melissa and John and Brent back for more action! Newer players Maggie and Lionel joined in about mid morning. Play rotated around quite well with everyone having and chance to play multiple players, and incidently balls were being hit over the inclosure multiple times where Frank had to jump the fence a couple of times before the morning was over! But that's all part of the experience, right???

In the last game, saw Karen and I outlast Pam and Melissa 11-8. This was after Melissa and I had teamed up versus her Dad and Karen... Terry mentioned that he wanted to play against not with Melissa. A little family competition is good!

We finished a little early because of the heat??? or was it because Susan showing up and taking off with a couple of our players???

Reporting on the tournament play in Dieppe: The team of Saeed and Christian played well but lost a few really close games and did not qualify for the medal round. Great play guys! The team of Fred and Duane played a very exciting final, coming out with the Silver Medal... Congratulations guys!

Our next play is scheduled for Monday evening and then Tuesday morning!
