Saturday morning, August 9th - Outdoor Courts

Pickleball started slowly this morning at 9:00 with one court busy, then grew to two, then by shortly after 9:30 all four courts were busy with 5 or 6 waiting, so approximately 22 participants. These numbers held solid until shortly before 12:00, with the last couple of games finishing close to 12:30...

Brent was true to his word and showed up around 9:30 entering play, but he seemed to be avoiding me. So I took matters into my own hands and challenged him to a match, which turned into playing together versus Christian and Saeed! Play was very competitive with the score going back and forth. At one time Christian and I felt like spectators when Brent and Saeed were dinking back and forth forever! Ultimately we did wear the younger team down and squeaked out the victory. Then shortly after Corinna and I partnered up battling Pam and Monique with long rallies and back and forth scoring and ended up winning another close game!

In the final match of the day saw Fred and Myself battling the team of Christian and Saeed where play went back and forth for a long game. It was great to partner up with Fred. Most of the time he has been on the other side of the net... Always great to have someone carry you to the finish line???

Weather was good, but on occasion the wind caused some interesting shots...but one cannot complain too much. We have a great facility here in Sackville with wind screens that enable enjoyable play (most of the time) !

Next play is scheduled for Monday evening and then Tuesday morning!
