Saturday morning, September 6th - Outdoor Courts

Hi All,

There was a good turn out with four courts going and a couple of spares for most of the morning. Lots of spirited play with only a little bad language, no player to be named (I didn't know they spoke that way on "The Rock"). A pair of students came late but they didn't join in the competition today, preferring just to rally as did our regular Susan R. still recovering from a sore shoulder. The question was raised about when indoor play at Mt. A might be starting but as yet we do not have info on it.

The last game of note was a great game featuring our newest player Mari with Rahil taking on Richard and our Amherst friend Ben. The game finished 13 to 11 and although such a good game really has four winners I will say the ladies left the court smiling and you can draw your own conclusions. There was one game after that where a clearly tired Mari tried to carry her partner Steve against Saeed and Richard. Unfortunately the extra weight proved too much and they went down 11 to 6.

We  play again on Monday evening and on Tuesday morning!
