Reporting for Thursday October 30

We had 5 courts busy with 5-6 people waiting. The rotations went smoothly with lots of exceptional play from everyone.

We all know that everything starts sooner in Newfoundland right? Well Terry started his Halloween makeup last Saturday!! And today it was perfect for his ‘patches’ outfit. It’s just too bad that he will be wearing that black eye next week as well.  I have ranted a bit about eye protection while playing our sport and Terry fell victim to a hit while playing last Saturday. So please, everyone, put on those glasses!

Another unusual occurrence this morning involved the curtain. Since the extra band was added to the bottom of the curtain we have not had to contend with the dangers of the ball rolling under it into the court until today. Bruno was ‘gently’ going for a long shot and he lunged into the curtain causing it to lift and thus the ball did roll under and into the adjoining court. No injuries but…

Eudora happily reports that half her world has become sharper and brighter. So a little hint- make sure you hit the ball to her left fuzzy side until her next surgery.

I really don’t have scores to report except I heard about a few pickles. Frank is finally realizing that the word NO is allowed in the retirement life. But he has found himself in another kind of pickle with over commitment. I felt  sorry for him and relieved him of the write up today.
