Thursday morning, September 11th - Outdoor Courts

Hi all

Play started today at 9:00 with two courts busy, which quickly turned into three courts, then by close to 10:00 all four courts were busy and stayed until about 11:00 when some left reducing to three courts then to two, with one court staying busy until close to 12:00...

It was great to see Susan back, taking it slow by only playing one game for now until she builds up enough strength to play longer... I offered to play with her, but she preferred teaming up with her sister versus Magi and I, taking a 10-5 lead. Magi and I battled back with a never say die effort, tying it up and eeking out the victory 12-10...

Play started quite cool, but by mid morning everyone was removing their extra layer for quite pleasant play...

The final match saw Chris and Monique quickly take an 8-1 lead, but in another never say die effort Pamela and I battled to tie the score at 10-10... The few players who stayed to watch were mesmerized by the stellar play that Chris and Monique eventually closed out 15-13!

There was a nice sweater that was left behind and Pam left with it, saying she would return with it for play tomorrow at 1:00...

Play continues tomorrow at 1:00 then again Saturday morning at 9:00...
