Hi all
We had all four courts busy this beautiful sunny morning, with a couple players ready to rotate in. It certainly can be a very nice time of the year. We had a lot of the regulars, plus some who were able to be out because of the holiday, including Mount A students Harris and Cole, Gaelen and Saeed. It was great to see Elden out even though he avoided play with me...
In one of the latest games saw Saeed and I win a close one versus Tim and Fred thanks to the winning ball just rolling off the net to victory! The final game of female play saw Kelly and Monique outlast Pam and Jocelyne 11-8.
When we were leaving at about 12:00, a lady from PEI arrived saying she was meeting friends on our courts from Fredericton and Moncton... Our courts have quite the reputation and conveniently located for this group to meet to play! We welcomed them into joining in with our group but they were happy to keep to themselves...
In talking with Jocelyne about play on Saturday morning, she advised me that there were three courts busy most of the morning! Always nice to play with the music from the Farmers Market in the background!
Saeed mentioned that play at Salem last night had three courts busy with a number of regular players from Amherst in the mix along with Marc Wagg, himself and Rahil...
Reporting on play from the Atlantics on the weekend in Bedford was Fred: Debbie enjoyed singles play on Friday. He was not sure of her record but she did not make the medal round. Debbie and Eudora played well in Women's Doubles but also did not make it into the medal round. Debbie and Clarence did play well winning a number of games but lost in the semis to finish fourth, he thought just out of the medals. Larry and Eudora did play well in mixed doubles but did not make the medal round. Congratulations all!
Next play will be at the Salem gym tomorrow at 8:00 and again on Thursday morning at the Mount A gym at 9:00.
Pickle on!
Frank
