Friday afternoon, June 6th @ MTA Gym

Reporting for Friday June 6/25

Hello Picklers!!

It has been awhile since I have had this responsibility of reporting on our PB day at Mt A gym-so much pressure 😱!!

It was not until the end of the day when I was asked to write up a note which is my excuse for not noting the numerous incredible games. If the noise is an indicator of achievement then it was a steady 2 hours of such from 20+ players. I didn’t know that Frank was even playing until the end of the day-imagine that!

Only 2 unusual incidents occurred. Kirk forgot to tie his laces properly so had a 3/10 fall( he really just needed a breather while playing Saeed and Larry- allowed when you are over 75). Terry got a fat lip when he ran into Saeed’s racket. Pam went on the hunt for ice. She was a long time returning. She admitted she wandered by the men’s locker room and was quite satisfied with what she saw. She has volunteered to be the ‘ice girl’ from now on!

The last game had Pam ( with renewed vigor) and Gary take on Lisa & Terry. Not sure who won on the score board but they won the endurance award.

So tomorrow looks like a rain day. But if not, let’s meet at the outdoor courts at 9 am.

AND note that next week all MTA games will be at outdoor courts ONLY as MTA are doing some maintenance at the gym. Next week is the last week for Salem School evening sessions, after next week the evening sessions will also be outdoors. And after next week we will have one more week left in the MTA gym before going outside for all the Summer sessions.

Not sure about parking at the courts due to the construction. There is a lot at the corner of Park and Salem and apparently they are not being monitored this summer.

Saeed gets the quote of the day- I’m done but I’ll play!

Signing off
