Saturday morning, July 26th - Outdoor Courts

Hi All,

Play started at about 9:00 with two courts busy, which quickly turned into all four courts busy until about 11:30, when a few were leaving... but the three courts kept busy past the time I was leaving at about 12:00! With players coming and going, I believe we had in excess of thirty players out! It was great to welcome Tantramar Pickleballers Brent Boddy and John Killoran back after quite an absence. John played well but I cannot speak about Brent since I did not play him. I challenged him late in the morning, but he said he was winded from a marathon match, I guess. Maybe next time. We had so many players out, I did not get to play with everyone, but that is good. Cy's son Jon and his wife Cindy were in town visiting and it was great to have them join us! Anne Miller's grandsons and family were back for more play. I think we gave Elias and Jacob another good taste of the Sackville hospitality, and they were up to the challenge. Incidentally Anne Miller's daughter, Jennifer and Cy's son Jon were classmates at Tantramar High, so Pickleball even contributes bringing former classmates together! We also had players from Memramcook and a number from Amherst, too!

The last game I was involved with saw Jon and Elias come back from a 10-6 deficit to win 12-10 versus Saeed and myself (maybe we were showing too much welcome???)

Next playtime will be Monday at 6:00 and Tuesday morning at the outdoor courts.
