Pickleball today...
Well a beautiful calm day on the pickleball outdoor courts... well at least we were outdoors. Sixty percent chance of showers but that never materialized even though some had their game score hopes rained on! Sixteen players utilized all courts when we were at capacity for a fun filled morning trying to navigate the wind and the pickleball. Made for many interesting shots and near misses. One meteorologist was heard to say she thought the wind died down after Frank left but I know that wasn't a correct prediction as I was still there and so was the wind!
Other distractions included the empty pop can rolling around the tennis courts, the Lafford crane and the banging of the dump truck gates as they emptied their loads. The banging always seemed to coincide with either a missed shot attempt or a winning point (so it seemed).
Last couple of games saw Lisa and Rahil best Pamela and Dan 11-8, and in the final tilt it was Pam and Rahil besting Lisa and Pamela with a score of 11 to something less. Everyone left happy and eager to play tomorrow outside on the courts.
