Thursday morning, June 5th @ MTA Gym

Hi all

We had five courts busy this morning starting shortly after 9:00...So probably 20 players out. It was great to welcome back Don from his trip to Portugal. We are sure he had a great time, and enjoyed the local cuisine! and he exhibited a darker skin tone! Be sure to wish Don a belated Happy Birthday as he celebrated another circle around the sun on Monday! He said his game would be a little rusty since he had not played while he was away, but in the game I played with him, he showed up fine! It was also great to welcome Bruno back, having been absent due to a course he had for work... oh, no that four letter word! Really miss it???

Numbers dropped off around 11:00, but a number of the dedicated regulars kept the ball bouncing to after 12:00. In the last couple of games saw a game of mens and a game of womens play. Not sure what the score was with the women, but Bruno and I outlasted Fred and Tim 11-8, I believe... Then, Pam was game for more play and teamed up with Fred versus Bruno and I... Games were close due to the never give up play, with teams battling back from a 10-3 and a 10-4 deficits to make the games close, one going into overtime and the other a 11-8 score!

Next play will be tomorrow at the regular 1:00 time at the MTA gym!
