Tuesday morning, July 1st - Outdoor Courts

Happy Canada Day!  We were all set up for some visitors to the courts today.  It was advertised by the Town for folks to come out and see what pickleball was all about.  We had everything set up and had 22 people playing from 9am until 12pm.  The 22 included only one beginner, and Truth-be-Told he wasn’t really a beginner, we just hadn’t seen him for quite a while.

Brian was kind enough to act as our new player so we could boast of at least one visitor.  Otherwise, we’d have to report that no other person dropped in to learn or play some pickleball.  However, we did have one spectator join us for a little while, he was a friend of Logan – we didn’t get his name.

We did have a great day playing anyway and Brian was very quick to get back into top form even without his young sidekick John there to help him.  Great to see you again Brian.

There was no post for last night’s session.  We played from 6pm until dusk with 22 folks in attendance.  Pam and I had to leave early – my back told me it was time to call it a night.  But the evening was perfect, and everyone enjoyed great weather and great play.  We hope all sessions can be as much fun, especially the evenings where those working folks can join in with us.

Since my last post regarding the Wednesday evening playtime, I have had a few chats with some folks, and it seems that this is a concern with others as well.  Maybe, it’s something that the committee should discuss – I don’t know.  But either way it should delt with and put to rest whichever way the group sees things going forward.  Feel free to give feedback to me or any one of your committee members, in person, via email, or on our website.

We play again Wednesday evening at 6pm and then Thursday morning at 9am.
