Wed evening, July 2 - Outdoor Courts

We had all four courts going from 6 to 9:45 PM. At max, there were 19 players out. We had several regulars from Memramcook (Jocelyn, Monique), Sackvillians (Dan, Pam, Rahill, Corina, Barb, etc.), and Amherst folks including Vance, Christian, and Betty-Joe. There were many epic battles. Heavy hitters like Saeed and Ash were enjoying play with some very close games. Liza and Jaden were out too and enjoyed the evening play. Three newcomers showed up after encouragement from their supervisor (me). Brenell, Marissa, and Catherine are Mount Allison students working on research projects this summer. They must have tired of the monotonous lab work on the microscope. Keep up the play and you will get the hang of it. Learning to keep score is among the first milestones.

The last few games featured Ash and I versus Frank and Saeed. They crushed us two in a row because obviously the wind was in their favor both games :) Then Fred and Ash challenged Frank and I. There were many great rallies and some amazing returns on shots that should have scored. I seem to recall that Frank and I squeaked out two close wins. A great evening!

Next play is Thurs at 9 AM and Fri at 1 PM at the outdoor courts.
