Friday afternoon, May 23rd @ MTA Gym

We had 21 players out on this cold rainy Friday.  Fewer than our usual crowd.  Some of the Nova Scotia players are likely resting up for their provincials being played in Bedford this weekend.  Good luck to all.  

It was good to see Agnes back, she's a great player.  Speaking of great players, Mona was in fine form today.  I think Friday afternoons really agree with her as she wins even more games on Fridays than usual.  The games are harder than ever to win because the level of play is so good.  There are lots of rallies with 10 plus shots per side and the placement is varied so everyone is working that much harder.  Win or lose, you are playing well when you are in a 12 shot rally.

The last game saw Rahil and Saeed take on Josh and Agnes.  I watched part of that game and Rahil was amazing, returning every shot that came her way.  Then Agnes put one across Saeed's bow that was an ace.  The score was 6 to 5 when I left and I couldn't count either team out.

If you want to see a good third shot drop shot or reset shot just watch Saeed.  He has the most consistent third shot drop that I've seen and believe me I know how hard they are to get once in a while, let alone whenever you want.  Great work Saeed.

Tomorrow, Saturday , 9AM to noon,  will be our first outdoor session, but the weather doesn't look too promising.  We play at Salem Elementary on Monday at 7:30....Pam
