Friday afternoon, May 9th @ MTA Gym

Hi all,

We had all six nets up today with a few spares, so 26 or 27 players, which is quite usual for Friday afternoon. We welcomed Yoshiko and her son, Dan out. Dan has been out before, but I believe this was the first time for Yoshiko. I did partner up with Dan versus Rahil and Saeed, which was a good test for him! And we were able to come out on top 11-9 in a tight game that went back and forth. I don't think they held back on us, and the game could have gone either way! We had a lot of the Friday students, including Tim, Mackenzie, Riley, Regan as well as Agnes and Jill. It is great to have a great variety of players to share the courts with! I played with and against Magi, and I cannot believe the level of her game. It has come so far! In the last game of the day saw Saeed and Pam come out on top of Steve and Rahil, finishing ar about 3:30.

Our next session is on Monday evening at the Salem gym, and because the MTA gym will be closed on Tuesday morning due to some work on the curtain... Maybe it will be lowered so we won't have to use the cardboard??? I also suggest anyone wishing to play on Tuesday morning, to show up at the outdoor courts, weather permitting of course!
