Monday evening, May 5 @ Salem Gym

Hi All,

All 3 courts were filled for most of the night. In total, there were 13 players, despite playoffs in both basketball and hockey competing for our attention. The Amherst crew even managed to send David and Christian to battle it out on the courts with the Sackvillians. Agnes played for the first time in Sackville since the holidays and hasn't missed a beat. Kirk's serves were challenging to return but Kelly, Jill, Rahil, and Alan seemed to find a way to counter the serves. Heather and I lost badly to Rahil and Kelly, as that game saw a shot ricochet off the side of my paddle and hit my partner Heather in the eye. Again, a good reminder to always wear eye protection and chose your partner wisely - no worries, there was no harm done. The most epic game of the night paired Agnes and Tim versus Christian and Lisa. The A and T duo came out on top in overtime with a 13-11 score. Some excellent rallies and firefights at the net were witnessed by all. And thanks to whoever (Paul?) that provided a few more orange balls for play since the yellow are tough to see...
